Hi, there! I’m Krystal. I’m a writer, editor, and communications specialist originally from the West Coast. I hit the road a decade ago to follow my heart and ventured to the Eastern seaboard – and I haven’t looked back since!
I’ve always loved writing and knew that I wanted to create a career for myself that allowed me to indulge in this love. I got my feet wet in college and began writing professionally for a national, independent magazine. After college, there weren’t many opportunities in my home state that could make my professional dreams come true, so I packed all that I could in my ’95 Jeep Grand Cherokee and started on a road trip across the country.
I set down stakes in Washington, DC and began finding prospects that helped me live out parts of my dream – private sector communications and research in the legal industry, technical writing and editing in the aviation and defense industries, business development in the government consulting industry, and internal communications in the national security industry.
While working in DC was great and provided me with boundless opportunities for learning and growth, I always felt limited creatively. So, I knew it was time for a change and I headed north to a city bigger than life — New York City — where the energy of buildings reaching for the sky and the hustle and bustle of crowded sidewalks is intoxicating and inspirational.
